Binding Prayer
In the Name of Jesus Christ, by the authority He has given me as a child of God, I bind every evil spirit assigned against me, my family, my home, and the work of God in my life.
I bind the spirit of [name the specific spirit if known: fear, addiction, confusion, despair, lust, anger, accusation, etc.]. I forbid you to operate. I forbid you to speak. I command you to be silent and to leave, in the Name of Jesus Christ.
By the blood of Jesus, you have no claim. I close every door you have used. I cover this place, this person, this situation, in the precious blood of Jesus.
Holy Spirit, fill what has been emptied. Father, restore what has been stolen. Lord Jesus, be glorified.

How to pray this
Pray it out loud. Spirits respond to authority spoken, not authority thought. Speak slowly and with conviction. You are not begging; you are commanding in Jesus's authority.
- Identify the specific spirit or pattern if you can name it.
- Pray the binding line directly, with the spirit named.
- Pray the blood-covering line.
- End by inviting the Holy Spirit to fill the empty space.
- Sit quietly for 5 minutes afterward.
Where the authority comes from
Binding prayer is grounded in what Jesus said, not in an office. Every believer has authority in His Name over spiritual evil in their own life and — with charity and discernment — on behalf of others who have asked for prayer. This is not the same thing as formal exorcism, and it does not require a title.
If the same struggle returns
