Short Deliverance Prayers to Pray Daily
A short collection of daily prayers for spiritual freedom — brief enough to actually pray every morning, grounded in scripture.
Long prayers are good, but the prayers that actually change a life are usually the short ones you can pray every single morning without thinking about it. The three below take under a minute each. Pray them out loud, before the day gets loud.
The biblical foundation
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
— James 4:7
James gives the order: submit to God first, then resist. That is the order every prayer below follows.
Three short prayers to pray daily
Submission and Renunciation
Lord Jesus Christ, I submit myself to You. I renounce Satan and all his works and all his empty promises. I belong to You, body and soul. Cleanse me by Your blood. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. In Your Name, Amen.
Protection Through the Blood of Jesus
Lord Jesus, I cover myself and my family in the precious blood that You shed for us on the Cross. By that blood, I am protected. By that blood, every claim of the enemy is broken. By that blood, I am made clean. In Your Name, Amen.
Prayer for the Guard of God
Father, You have promised to command Your angels concerning me, to guard me in all my ways (Psalm 91:11). Send them now. Set them around my home, my family, my coming in and my going out. Let no scheme of the enemy stand against what You are doing here. Lord, be my refuge and my fortress today. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
How to pray these
Pray them out loud, morning and evening. Pick one to start with — the one that lands hardest — and pray only that one for a week before adding another. A rhythm you actually keep beats an ambitious one you abandon by Thursday.
Why short prayers work
Jesus warned against thinking we are heard because of many words (Matthew 6:7). The power is not in length or in wording; it is in the Name of Jesus and the authority He has given His followers. What a short prayer does well is get prayed — every day, in the car, at the sink, before the first email. Consistency is the thing that compounds.
If the same struggle returns
Daily prayer, honest confession, regular worship with God's people, scripture, and (where helpful) fasting are the long-term toolkit. Use all of them.
What these prayers are NOT
They are not formal exorcism. They are not a substitute for repentance or for community. They do not replace clinical care for medical or psychological needs. They are pastoral prayer — powerful in the Name of Jesus, and meant to be prayed inside a whole life with God.
Frequently Asked Questions
Daily. Short prayers prayed every morning do more over a year than a long prayer prayed once. Pick one, pray it out loud before the day starts, and add the others as they become familiar.
Pray with a ministry team member
Some battles are won faster when prayed alongside others. Submit a prayer request or book a one-on-one deliverance session.
